Alignment:  Delivery Options
Step Five in Aligning Your Sequences:
    1.  Enter a valid email address in the space provided.  This is the address to which your NAST aligned FASTA file and Excel report will be sent.
    2.  By default, the files returned to you by Greengenes will be compressed before they are sent.  As the files are rather large please leave this default selected as is.  However, if you know that your mail server blocks zip compressed files you will need to either change that setting if you can or unclick this option.
    3.  Once you have entered  your email address you can click on "Process Batch".  In the absence of  high traffic you can expect your NAST aligned FASTA & Excel files to be sent within 10 minutes.  (When you receive your NAST summary your computer will want to open it with Excel.  That's fine; go ahead and open it with Excel and look at it.  However, it is not saved in the default Excel workbook format; it is "tab delimited".  This won't matter to you except that if it asks you if you want to save changes when you close it, choose 'NO'.  When you proceed to the next step, eliminating chimeric sequences, you need to have a "tab delimited" NAST summary.  This is what is returned to you from Greengenes.  You will be asked to submit it along with your NAST aligned FASTA file to expidite the chimeric check.)
    4.  To see a sample Greengenes Excel spreadsheet with a complete description of the columns click here.
    5.  Once you have  your aligned FASTA file you can continue with checking for and eliminating chimeric sequences.  Click here to proceed with directions on how to check for chimeras.
